IAESTE is represented in over 80 countries worlwide. The traineeships can be held in companies or higher education institutions.
Internship periods are organised in such a way to allow students to have the internships during the summer holidays. The minimum period recommended is 6 weeks and it can go until 12 months.
The IAESTE exchange programme covers all Engineering branches, and several Exact and Natural Sciences, such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geology and Biology, as well as other fields such as Architecture, Agronomy, Pharmacy and Veterinary Sciences, Social Sciences, Sports, among others.
