How to become an IAESTE Local Committee
Any University (public or private) may apply to become a Local Committee. Please contact the National Secretariat for more information.
Which are the benefits of becoming a Local Committee
- Only students from Universities where Local Committees operate, may apply, on the first and second phases, to the IAESTE international internships;
- Benefit from the FCT grants in its Research Units, which must be evaluated as Excellent or Very Good.
Local Committees’ Obligations
- Pay an annual membership to become a member;
- Help with the job raising process;
- Receive students nominations;
- Send students nominations to the National Secretariat, that centralises the whole process on a national and international level;
- Receive from the National Secretariat foreign students’ nominations and take care of all procedures regarding their arrival and stay in Portugal;
- Proceed according to IAESTE rules.
